Special Events
Here are some of the events that we host each year:
Spring: Beautiful You is a day of beauty, relaxation & inspiration for girls ages 14-26, which gives them a chance to shop for prom gowns, spring dresses & shoes. Makeovers, art stations, dance lessons, glam shots, and more!
Summer: The Back to School Bash is an annual free drive-through event held in August for foster youth and teens aging out in L.A., Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties, as they prepare for the upcoming school year. Participants receive backpacks, school supplies, essential hygiene items, underwear, and shoes. We greatly appreciate our generous corporate sponsors who help provide donations for this event. Fall: Our Halloween Costume Drive and Thanksgiving Basket donation programs are important fall programs that provide fun, festivity, and nourishment to our community.
Winter: James Storehouse has been the official Holiday Toy Store for all children and youth experiencing foster care in Ventura County.
